As an artist I draw from my memories things I have loved, and my love for animals began when I was young and spent my free time with them since playmates were scarce. I am emotionally involved with my subjects when they are animals. Birds and other wildlife represent my conception of what is most perfect and good. This ideal exists only in my imagination but becomes a reality in my paintings. Vivian C Olsen
